Milan – Jeremy Menez lead role of ‘false 9‘ at his new club, AC Milan. Menez feel comfortable with this new role because she could move more freely on the pitch.
Milan played without a pure striker in the first two games in Serie A this season. Rossoneri coach, Filippo Inzaghi, using a 4-3-3 formation by placing Menez as a false 9 – the player in charge of a focus attack but also come down to the midfield.
The result was not disappointing so far. Milan beat Lazio 3-1 in the first game, then won 5-4 over Parma in giornata 2.
In these two games, Menez shows the magnitude of the contribution. The Frenchman was contributed three goals, two of them by white dots.
“This position allows me to maneuver in the entire line of attack,” Menez said the magazine Forza Milan told Football Italia.
“I feel more free and able to contribute, either in the box or in the attack,” he continued.
“I often take on the role was shared (coach) Carlo Ancelotti at Paris Saint–Germain,” Menez said.
