Sofia – Liverpool forward, Raheem Sterling, pleaded not satisfied with the results obtained his team’s 2-2 against Ludogorets time. However, he also acknowledged that beat Ludogorets at home alone is difficult.
In a match that took place at the Vasil Levski National Stadium, Sofia, Thursday (11/27/2014) pm dawn, Ludogorets had the lead through Dani Abalo melee kick in the third minute. Liverpool then took the lead through goals from Rickie Lambert in the eighth minute and Jordan Henderson in the 37th minute. However, three minutes before the game ended, Georgi Terziev goalkeeper Simon Mignolet collapse again.
“The intense match between two great teams,” Sterling said in the official UEFA website after the game.
“It’s hard to beat Ludogorets at home here. I think we deserve to be disappointed because it did not get the three points. But, we are now in a position to determine our own destiny.”
“We want to qualify for the next round and I think we are still in a good position.”
Ludogorets did have a relatively good record when playing at home in UEFA competition. Before the game against Liverpool, they won five times, draw three times, and lost twice.
The last time playing at home, before facing the Reds, Ludogorets 1-0 win over Basel. As reported by the official site of UEFA, the results that make them become the first Bulgarian club to win points in the Champions League.
Liverpool now sit in third position with a value of 4, two points behind FC Basel behind the collected two more points. In the last match of the group stage, Liverpool will face Basel in Anfield.
