SOUTHAMPTON, – Southampton manager, Ronald Koeman, assessing his team lost 1-2 to Manchester United (MU) in the Premier League on Monday (08/12/2014), not because Manchester United played better, but because Soton often make mistakes.
MU victory is determined by Robin van Persie’s goal at minute 12 and 71. Meanwhile, Southampton minimizing the position thanks to Graziano Pelle incision in the 31st minute.
According to ESPN, the whole game, Southampton had the ball as much as 51 percent and created four chances out of 15 businesses. The MU fired two shots accurately from three experiments.
“We played attacking football and try to suppress them. We deserve better results, but at this level the little things will make a difference and how do you cope when your opponent to make a few mistakes,” Koeman said after the match.
“But, we have a lot more chances, played better and more control of the ball. I told the players that we are not losing to Manchester United, we lost because of ourselves,” he added.
The result left Southampton down to fifth standings with 26 points from 15 matches. Meanwhile, the Red Devils squad moved up to third with 28 points tally.
