SURREY – Commitment and motivation really shown along Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard in this final season. Against AFC Wimbledon, he scored both goals for the Reds a 2-1 victory early morning this morning in the FA Cup third round.
The 34-year-old midfielder was admitted to enjoying the FA Cup along with the beauty that is created in the world‘s oldest competition.
“I have always enjoyed the FA Cup, I am growing to love the competition. This will be the last season, and I will be playing a full commitment. This is the beauty of the FA Cup, the performance did not always be decisive. Wimbledon play wholeheartedly and give us a real test, “said Gerrard told BBC Sport on Tuesday (01/06/2015).
“If I’m not here to play for the team, I will be watching in the stands. I know what it feels like to be fans, that’s why I try to give our best, “he continued.
In the fourth round, the Anfield Gank will challenge Bolton Wanderers. Gerrard will be reunited with two former Liverpool player, ie, Emile Heskey and Jay Spearing.
“We have to pass the game one by one, Bolton in the next round will be difficult. Winning the competition, is a dream and hopefully we can make it happen, “hope the players who had the nickname Captain Fantastic.
